Getting started
OrderInvoicer connects your sales channels to your invoicing or accounting software. It converts orders into documents and automates supported workflows, such as refunds and payment updates. Available operations depend on the applications you connect and your plan.
Browse the sales channels and invoicing tools on our website, then open the page for your pair. It shows the available workflows and whether the connector can be installed or is still coming soon. A listed application does not mean every combination is already available.
Choose your sales channel and destination, follow their connection instructions, then configure the workflows you need. Check an initial order and its resulting document before enabling additional automations. Shopify and Wix apps are installed through their respective marketplaces.
You need permission to authorize integrations in both applications. Some providers also require API access on their own subscription. Use the connection guide for your software; if authorization is refused, check the account, company and permissions before trying again.
Yes. At the Pennylane connection step, you can generate a link for your accountant to authorize access to the company. They do not need an OrderInvoicer account for this step. Whether you can authorize the connection yourself depends on your Pennylane subscription; the connection guide explains the options.
You can manage several connectors in your organization. Each connector has its own source, destination, workflows and subscription context. Check the plan for each connection instead of assuming that one subscription covers every store.
Open the page for Shopify and your invoicing destination, then follow its Shopify App Store link. Install the matching app and authorize access to the correct store. If the pair is marked coming soon, join its waiting list instead; another destination’s app will not connect it.
Install the app for your destination through the Wix App Market, then connect your invoicing account. Wix manages the app subscription and its available plans. Use the marketplace offer for pricing and changes to that subscription.
Follow the PrestaShop installation guide to configure access and install the required module. Check that the store is reachable and that the module matches the integration instructions. Review your existing PrestaShop invoicing process before activating automatic invoices in another tool.
Follow the WooCommerce guide to authorize API access to the correct store. The API must be reachable from outside your site; security plugins, redirects or hosting rules can block access. If connection fails, use the reachability guide before regenerating credentials.
The Sellsy account used for authorization needs access to the resources used by your workflows. An administrator label alone does not resolve every API permission issue. Check the Sellsy permissions guide and the company selected during connection.
Check the Odoo URL, database, user and API access required by the installation guide. A new database or revoked key can require reconnecting. If credentials are rejected, verify these details and the compatibility of your Odoo setup before retrying.
Synchronization
The workflow trigger determines when conversion can happen: for example, when the order is placed, paid or fulfilled. Available triggers depend on your plan. Collection of an order and creation of its invoice are separate steps; an imported order may still be waiting for its trigger or a required setting.
Yes. The historical import settings let you choose an earlier period and follow the import progress. Self-service historical imports require Launch or a higher plan, an active subscription and enough credits. Review the period and any existing invoices before starting to avoid invoicing the same sales in two systems.
Check the collection period, connection status, workflow trigger, filters and available credits. If the order is present, inspect its conversion status and error details. A draft, missing numbering configuration or an unmet payment/fulfillment condition can prevent the expected final document.
First correct the reported cause, such as expired access, missing data or exhausted credits. Then use the synchronization or conversion action available for the affected item. If it still fails, send support the connector and order reference with the error message; do not send passwords or API keys.
Before activating a workflow or importing history, check whether another app or marketplace already invoices those sales. Configure supported exclusions and keep one invoicing process for each sale. If a duplicate appears, ask support to inspect the linked documents before deleting or recreating anything.
Invoices and customers
Check whether the workflow is configured to create drafts or finalized documents. Finalization can also require numbering or other settings in your invoicing software. Payment synchronization may need a validated document, so a draft can also explain why the invoice is not marked as paid.
For destinations that support it, enable the refunds-to-credit-notes workflow. Refunds are then converted into credit notes according to that workflow and the data supplied by the store. Check partial refunds and shipping adjustments on an example before relying on the automation.
Shopify order-edit invoicing is supported for Pennylane and Sellsy when the relevant workflow and plan allow it. The handling depends on the existing document and the change; a finalized invoice is not simply overwritten. Refunds use the credit-note workflow. Check the resulting documents in OrderInvoicer, especially for partial changes.
Matching depends on the destination and its customer settings, such as matching by email or name where available. Check the chosen rule and the billing data supplied by your store. Do not assume several buyers with different emails will automatically become one company record, or that all existing customer fields will be overwritten.
Automatic invoice email is available for destinations that support this workflow and plans that include it. Enable it in the workflow settings and check the recipient, document status and email configuration in the destination software. Creating an invoice alone does not mean it has been emailed.
Use the invoice link written to the order metadata or the download extension provided by your installed app. The document must exist and its link must have been saved; metadata access depends on your plan. Follow the guide for classic or new customer accounts and verify that the block is available in your installed app.
Accounting and payments
It depends on the payment synchronization mode and destination. You can disable synchronization or mirror the paid status where supported. Sellsy also supports recording individual payments. Draft documents may need validation first. Marking an invoice as paid is separate from reconciling a bank payout.
Compare the settlement report with its underlying payments, refunds and fees, rather than one order total. The data available to OrderInvoicer and the reconciliation options depend on the provider and accounting destination. Check the workflows for your connection before assuming that each bank deposit is matched automatically.
A payout can combine several sales, refunds and deducted fees. With a compatible reconciliation workflow, such as Shopify Payments with Pennylane, use the payouts view to inspect the transactions and match the net amount. Comparing the bank deposit to one invoice alone will not account for those adjustments.
Where supported, the connector accounting settings let you configure mapping rules for items such as VAT rates, line types or product references. Accounting-entry workflows and their grouping options depend on the destination and plan. Confirm the mapping with your accountant before processing a full period.
OrderInvoicer uses the order and customer data supplied by the source application, with destination-specific mapping. Check billing details, VAT identifiers and any configured metadata fields in the store, then check the tax mapping in your invoicing software. Missing source data cannot be inferred reliably from a customer name.
Configuration
Customer-type filters are available in applicable workflow settings. Check how the connector identifies a business customer from the data provided by your platform, then test a business and a consumer order. These filters do not by themselves guarantee that multiple buyers are grouped into one company record.
Check the exclusion filters available in your connector before enabling invoicing for sales already invoiced elsewhere. Supported criteria depend on the source and workflow; a custom tag or sales-channel rule is not automatically supported. If the filter you need is absent, contact support with the use case before activating the workflow.
The invoice layout is primarily managed in your invoicing software. Some connectors also let you select document templates in their settings. Check the destination guide and preview a generated document to verify your logo, legal information and line descriptions.
Product workflows depend on the destination and your plan. Product matching can use SKU references, so consistent references help avoid unintended duplicates. Product creation, price updates and stock movements are different operations; enabling one does not automatically enable the others.
Stock synchronization is available only for supported source/destination combinations and workflows. Do not assume a connector that creates invoices also synchronizes inventory or prices in both directions. Check the workflows shown for your pair and confirm which application owns the stock before enabling it.
Billing and support
One synchronized item uses one credit. For example, synchronizing an invoice and a payment uses two credits. Other enabled workflows, such as products, can add consumption, so one order does not always equal one credit. Use your connector usage view and the plan for your application pair to estimate your needs.
Choose both applications on the pricing page to see the relevant connector offer. Compare the workflows you need and their expected credit usage. Prices, quotas and included features depend on the pair and billing channel. Wix plans are managed in the Wix marketplace.
Check the trial offered on the connector page or its marketplace listing before activating a plan. Eligibility and billing are handled through the relevant subscription channel. Do not assume that switching plans starts a new trial; review the confirmation screen and the next billing date.
Use the subscription management for your billing channel: Shopify or Wix for marketplace subscriptions, and your OrderInvoicer billing area for direct subscriptions. Review the effective date and the workflows available on the new plan. If a payment succeeded but access is still inactive, contact support with the billing reference.
Check the selected company or store, API permissions, credentials and the provider subscription requirements. For self-hosted stores, also check that the site and API are reachable. Follow the provider guide to reconnect; share the error message with support, never your password or API secret.
Send a support request from your account with the applications involved, the affected order or document reference and the error you see. Explain the expected result and what happened instead. You can also use the website contact form for questions before installation.
